[PRCo] Re: Trolleys busy in Kenosha

Nothing new heard this trip. I drove north of downtown Kenbosha through the
park to the beach - it would be a natural extension of the trolley line, and
should attract riders at least in the warm months. This will probably be
the first extension to be built. The proposed line out to the dog track at
I-94 (about 9 miles away) is a bit more ambitious, and probably isn't
feasible in the short term - unless the city gets a bundle of money.

The transit employees in Kenosha really work at being friendly and helpful
on the trolleys. Saturday, I saw the first female trolley operator there.

Apartment and condo buildings downtown have been completed, and appear to
have high occupancy. A live theater and museum are open now, and
restauarants and shops are springing up along the trolley line.

And...I stopped at Trolley Dogs for lunch. They have an O-gauge PCC in TTC
paint on display.
