Derrick,

When did Syria Mosque come down???

The last time I was there was in 1971 to see a Sergio Mendes "Brazil 66"
concert.

And before that time, my mother won a Sun-Telegraph newspaper contest in
1954 when she identified Syria Mosque in a 1954 photo contest.  The prize
was two tickets to see Cinerama at the Warner Theater on Fifth Avenue.  I
believe that the theater is gone now too.
