Clemente and Stargell made that Pirate team
the best ever.   His death was a loss to the

    Attached are scans of some slides that I took at a night game at Forbes Field on September 7, 1966.  My dad got the second deck  season tickets from his company - Heppenstall Steel.
     
    Note the scruffy infield grass and the covering of the automated infield tarp mechanism along the left foul line.
     
    Son Jarrett used a magnifying glass, and he says that one of the Pirates batters is #21, Roberto Clemente.
     
    And...the Priates lost to Atlanta that night - 8-3.
