Yes, Fr.Mac was the president who lost the bet. He was also a General in
the USAF, and he came to our ROTC drills.
He passed on a year or so ago.
To get this message on-topic: In the late 1950's most of the students at
Duquesne were commuters. The running joke was that in the next year PRC
would place a car check vending machine in the Canevin Hall cafeteria. It
never happened.
