Have you seen, Herb, where the poster child for BRT, Curitiba Brazil, is 
proceeding with replacing their north-south BRT line with light rail?  
Funding to come from Worid Bank

Speaking about brilliance, I wonder if anyone at FTA knows - or even cares.  
(anyone want to do a cost comparison and ridership per investment $$ for 
West Busway vs. light rail, such as Salt Lake City, Sacramento, Portland or 
Denver?)
