Greetings to Derrick and all
Some more JTC memories. JTC was a family owned
tractopn company...The Reitz family...to the end.
Good people.
Harmony Short Line had one daily bus trip from
New Castle to Johnstown via Butler, Kittanning.
This bus was kept overiight for years at the
JTC barn. JTC also sold Harmony tickets.
There was a 1970's movie about hockey in Johnstown.
Dont forget the incline. A small Johnstown yellow coach
rode the incline to the top. With in walking distance of the
trolley.
Rush hour at the mill had thru cars to other lines. Quite
a sight.
Management and employees were good hosts to
railfans.
Rys to Yesterday is having a Johnstown car rebuilt
by a contgractor. In SF, Market Street Railway
had a JTC car in reconstruction for years at the mint.
