I cannot recall seeing an actual Fairchance sign, but it is my
understanding that both used black on yellow ... the position of the lights
and the exposure in Ed's picture makes the sign look more orange than it
actually is.
The only other yellow sign I can recall was Martin, and to distinguish them
from Fairchance cars, they used red letters. Shame that Kodachrome 25 (or
Kodachrome II as it was called) was not available about ten years earlier
along with 1990s computer ground lenses. There would then be no question.
