Quite Simply, Man was created first  --  Woman created from the side of 
Man.       So using the word  Man  can be quite specific in referring to 
an individual or it can be very general and refer to  ALL  humans.       
And Humans are, well.......       Humans     -----     Not Animals  
({[even though we act that way at times!!!!!!!]})

We need to be extremely careful and not read into this something that is 
not there  --  relative importance of one to the other.       Each is 
Equally important and Woman created as a Unique  *Helper*  to Man  --  
man just created first and line of authority starts with God Himself and 
works down In Order Of Creation is all.       There is No One and No 
Thing that can substitute for Woman  --  No Friendship, No Pet, No 
object!       Man is actually Incomplete without Woman!

Rejection of the use of  *Mankind*  is ultimately And Primarily an 
excellent example of rebellion against God with Whom we need to seek 
Peace!       On a Biblical basis the world is degenerating  (and this 
rejection of  *ManKind*  as politically incorrect is one small example)  
while the world believes it is better because of the repression of  
*Religion!*
