MR. ROGERS TROLLEY
An advertisement has been airing on several Cleveland TV stations for a few weeks now. The ad trys to explain why those of us in Cleveland should drop everything and rush off to the Laurel Highlands in PA. One segment of the ad mentions a "Mr. Rogers Trolley" attraction. Not much is said about this attraction except the name, "Mr. Rogers Trolley." Is this a real trolley (electric operation with an overhead wire) or one of the trolley bodies on a bus/truck chassis? Has anyone been to the "Mr. Rogers Trolley?"
CLEVELAND RTA
For those who remember the Kingsbury Tunnels, they are now just that.......a memory. The Kingsbury Tunnels were those short tunnels at the junction of the Cleveland Transit System rapid transit and the SHRT tracks near E. 55th Street. The tunnels were removed over the past several months and the track layout is totally different in the E. 55th Street area.
TROLLEYVILLE
A new plan for the Cleveland lakeshore has been published. It shows an electric railway line running from Lake Avenue and Clifton Blvd. to East 9th street downtown. This is supposed to be operated by Trolleyville and RTA.
