This past week I had the pleasure of being with Derek, Ed and Mark on a "interesting" tour of the old
Charleroi Interurban run,  as a former resident of Donora thru 1959, it was exciting to relive and follow the path of this former interurban line, the details of the trip were enjhanced by these fine gentlemen who brought the line back to life in a neat and great way, rekindling the remembrance that I had in riding the low floor car from Donora to catch  the interurban either to Charleroi or on into Pittsburgh. 
We then went on to investigate the former streetcar operation over the Charleroi/Monessen bridge and on into Belle Vernon and North Belle Vernon.  Which was interesting to say the lest of that car line going straight thru the middle of a large cemetery in North Belle Vernon.   We then proceeded on to Bentleyville/Ellsworth to relive the operation of that former street car line.   thank you to each of the  guys on the trip for bringing back fond memories of days gone by in riding the Trolley rails in the Mid Mon Valley Area.
