Greetings to all
The Burlesque House was just off of Smithfield toward
Market.  It was part of a circuit that included Baltimore and Buffalo.
It lasted into the l950's or maybe even later.
Forbes (Diamond) went thru the Market Sq house.  There
was rolling skating up stairs.

it was Diamond Alley when he first came to town.  Interesting that it was
never widened but it still went from an alley to an avenue.  I think the
street also had a burlesque house.
