Thought you might want to investigate these links to Friday's dedication
of PTM's trolley display building.   This was the usual dog and pony
show with copious speeches from local politicians.   The links below
will fill you in on the media's coverage of the event.
Saturday night's annual employee recognition banquet attracted about 85
people including about 20 wives and children.   The large number of
family workers is one of the things that makes this museum so
successful.

The annual President's Award went to Timothy Jones ... a nice wooden
plaque with an engraved plate on it ... for exceptional service to a
multitude of departments since he joined late in 2003.  Tim is (was?)
one of my operators on the Lancaster Birney car at Manheim, PA, and was
recognized for operations, for taking a week off from work to clean up
after the flood, and all sorts of other endeavors.  Congratuations, Tim!

A quick review of the work on 4398 by Justin, Jack, Tony, Jeff and so
forth ... clerestory window sash are being fabricated.  The main sash
have been trimmed to fit and most of the lower ones are in place and a
few of the upper ones.  Glass and the retaining strips need to follow.
Justin is working on the floor ... you can actually walk down through
the car now except for the floor at the center doors.   Great job!
