Thank You for the update, Bill!
DISCLAIMER:: -- Searching for an understanding, not trying to disturb.
KCPS All-Electrics are listed as having 30-degree layback to windshield
but it doesn't look like this. Looks Can Be Deceiving.
Layback at far left edge (from motorman's perspective) appears similar
to other All-Electrics yet centerpiece of windshield does Not appear to
be 30-degree. Possibility of differing shape of right side
windshield as opposed to curved top and side may also play part in this
deception. Interesting that Many//Most//All Philly All-Electrics
have Similar//Same front windshield!
Believe that 1960 was my first exposure to TTC -- Shrine convention
there and I went with Grandfather. Observed an TTC PCC in Heavy
Traffic responding identically to PRCo 1725--1799 and later learned
(from Clark Equipment) that these cars had the B2B -- PRCo had just
taken soft ride out of these trucks but it still remained in Toronto.
The very late 1960s or early 1970s was the next time I was in Toronto
and rode with a motorman who had one of the 4500s -- will have to find
my map to identify the route. Had more fun with a little MG that
*-continually-* tried to pass us without success -- we would take off
from a stop and literally dust that little MG - he would be shifting
like crazy -- then we would stop for passengers which forced the MG to
stop. Took Many tries for him to get by that PCC!!
Long branch was one of my favorites because of all the prw -- Very
Smooth and Nice Fast Ride!
