I suspect the 1700s had about 10 miles an hour times 15 hours a day
times times 365 days a year times 30 some years .... 1.5 to 2 million
miles. Now do you want to ask how many times the brake drums and
shoes were replaced? How many new wheels were installed? How many
new contactor tips? How many new batteries? How many light
bulbs? How many motor rewindings? How many hypoid ring and pinion
gears? How many axle and motor bearings? How many axle oil seals?
We forget that these things had to be done because we no longer do
them to our cars.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEKEND TO ALL OF YOU. I'M OFF TO MOTOR SANTA
CLAUS UP AND DOWN THE LINE AT PTM.
