West Penn Power Company supplied the south end of the system.
Duquesne Light Company (which was part of the railways family the
main portion). I only remember one strike in the late 1940s.
Homes were not affected but industrial users were. Tylerdale and
Canonsburg substations on the Washington line were fed by West
Penn. Ed will have to tell you where the Charleroi subs were ...
my suspicion was that the one at Riverview was the northern most West
Penn sub. The entire network was hot but going beyond the breaker
there would have drawn power from Duquesne Light.
