Hand rest is not supposed to be missing...don't know why it was not there
that day.

Operator controls in 1711:::::::
http://www.pa-trolley.org/Roster/Images/PRC1711interior1.JPG
Hand rest (round black bar) below four toggles on right is missing;
transfer stand to hold 3-books of transfers may have been fastened to
this bar.
Four toggles on the left were:
Gong, Front Door, Front Door, Center Doors (two center doors operated
as unit)
Four lower on the right:
Track Switch, Dimmer For Headlight, Windshield Wiper, Sander
Can't remember the last three -- Cab Heat for motorman is probably one
of them.
That vertical addition on top of the dash far left is a ({[pat]})
addition.
The switch to operate the roof light on PRCo PCC Interurbans 1700--1724
was under the dash under the four toggles on the left -- rotary switch.
On the right mounted on top of the dash on selected PRCo 1700-series PCC
Interurbans was a standard electrical junction box for one toggle to
activate brush in the track brake to sweep the tracks clear of sand.
The Motorman's strong box can be seen in the center of the toggles --
I like this arrangement!
In the lower right by the power pedal can be seen the operators heater
and a door to another group of Circuit Breakers for various functions.
