Kittanning and Templeton had brick ovens.
Ford City had a plate glass plant and still has a pottery (Eljer)
Leechburg has a steel plant. (Allegheny Ludlum)
Apollo had a steel plant followed my a Nuclear division.
Outside of Templeton were beehive coke ovens into the '70's.
There were iron mills at Bradys Bend in the early 19th century.

Armstrong County has the single most pollutant source in the state at the
Allegheny Power Plant in Reesdale.
