[PRCo] Re: PCC being towed

Boris, just so you don't feel ignored here's four
photos of TTC 4574 having a bad day at the office in
the summer of 1972. Luckily, I had my camera with me.
The car was west bound on Dundas just before Victoria
in downtown Toronto when it lost it's trolley pole and
the trolley secured itself to a span wire so securely
that it ripped the pole base, spikes and all out of
the roof.

In the second photo, the line crew was called to
detact the pole from the span wire. In the background
Dundas cars are diverting by Church, Queen and
Victoria. The third photo shows one of the red and
yellow mobile supervisor's cars of the day and the tow
bar extended on 4574.  The fourth photo shows the two
cars being attached for the trip to Roncesvalles car
house.
