I've had people turn into my trolleycar here in SF and they they told me
that I swerved  --  On Tangent Track!(:->)
.
I was headed outbound on Judah between 10th and 11th, the Paved and Raised
"PRW," NO left turn across the tracks. Person driving right beside
me, I could see them holding the steering wheel, DID turn in front of me
and got spun around 360 in the intersection. Karacter sitting in front
seat of my TrolleyCar jumping around like a rabbit repeatedly asking:
"Did you see what that guy did? I can't believe it. I am a
perfect witness for you!" The Gong - Bell - is right under my feet
under the car - part way ripped off and wouldn't work -- came mighty close
to a real disaster! First accident - knee was shaking for another hour
 - literally!
.
Had something very similar inbound on Market near Valencia - again,
trolleycar track is paved but prw -- NO one allowed to driver on tracks
here nor make left turn across same (in late 1970s.) Guy turns left
right into the front doors. V-E-R-Y apologetic.
.
This is why I understand the Sick--Ology of rail prw in the center of the
street - center divider where nothing drives -- at least not motor
vehicles.
.
We have the same problems along the Embarcadero for both the F-line
Hysterical and PCC cars and the lrv extension to CalTrain - people hook a
left into the rail vehicles All The Time. Paper lists it as MUNI
accident even though it is the fualt of others. Try to watch for same
but can't catch them all. Gets Mighty Old.
