The West Penn 700s used Dynamic Braking to slow the car And to
generate current to operate magnetic track brakes -- the friction
brake was cranked on and off by the motorman to complete the stop and
hold the car. Air Compressor Not Used on these Cars -- the WP
700s were All-Electric!!!!!!!
Cheeze Whiz, Ken, EveryOne <Knows> that the WP 700s Were // Are
The Inspiration and Model for the modern PCC Car. Why don't we see
this in print, on the Inet, anywhere else?! :-) ?!? ;-) !?! :-D
?!?! We better get busy and inform everyone!!!!!!! Our Work
Is Cut Out For Us!!!!!!!
