PRC Paint Book shows only one entry for painting the Birneys (cars 8  
and 9) ... April 7 and April 21, 1927.   Both cars received a number  
one paint job, which was a complete job, not just a touch up.   But  
whoever posted the paint book neglected to show the color.   I can  
only surmise that, because of the date and because it they were  
passenger cars, the letter O for orange was neglected.   The dates  
are curious.   Obviously someone was catching up a weeks worth of  
posting at one time.

There are other single truck one-man cars listed there: 2, 3, 4 and 5  
that were painted as late as 1933.   What the blankety blank were  
they?    And there was confusion with cars above them, F1, F2, F3 etc.
Two cars were being posted on the same line.

Good help was as hard to find then as it is today.
