Interurban Car Kill Two Near Library

Walking arm in arm along the tracks near Library last midnight two men
each about 60, were killed when struck by a Charleroi interurban car of the
Pittsburgh Railways Company.

The men were identified as Michael Long, of Montour Mine No. 10, Library
and John Kusko, of RD, Finleyville. Dr. C. F. Graham of Library, pronounced
both dead from shock and internal injuries. Operator John K. Henry, of the
Charleroi bound car, told deputy coroners that he saw the two men walking
arm in arm on the inbound tracks and that they were two or three car lenghts
away. Deputy coroners believe that the two men became confused and stepped
against the car. One man was knocked into a ditch at the side of the road
and the other between the inbound and outbound tracks. The accident
occurred
near the Coal Bank stop, near Library.

Date 1935

Just an interesting point in time.
