[PRCo] PRR vs Red Arrow

This is from another list dealing with the PRR.  I drove out to Havertown
the other day and took some photos.  I need to wait to have them developed
and will send some to the list if they turn out.  (Early evening).  The
mural is quite well done.

"For those in the Philadelphia area, there's a new mural going up at  the
intersection of West Chester Pike (US 3) and Darby Road in  Llanarch
(Havertown).  The mural represents the PRR's right of way  which crossed the
West Chester Trolley Company's right of way about  300 feet west of the
intersection. The question of who owned what  rights became so heated that
the PRR once (1895) parked a  locomotive there so that the trolleys couldn't
proceed.  WCTC became  part of Red Arrow.  The late Ron DeGraw's excellent
"The Red  Arrow" (1972) is an excellent source of this incident."
