Note that the outside sand fill was characteristic of the original  
1000s; many were later sealed.

You probably have collected enough pictures to have a handle on how  
many 1000s and 1100s were rebuilt with the inside glazing to prevent  
putting your hands or arms outside the open windows.   I think they  
all came through with the inside nickel plated safety grids like the  
Brooklyn model but I think most of not all were changed to look like  
your model of the 1200s.   So an original 1000 should be pretty much  
like 100.
