I have a feeling that the original San Diego picture was taken by Bob  
McVey.   He took a lot of color in the 1940s.   He had some fabulous  
LA and PE color.   I think early in his life he briefly worked for  
Pacific Electric.   Later owned a cable TV business up in the north  
end of the San Joaquin Valley.   Was coming home late one night from  
a trip to Reno when a DUI driver ran into and killed him.  I met him  
once.
