It's particularly nice because it shows a gas station from before the
"slob in the box" era of gasoline marketing, back to when they were
called service stations and when you received service when you went
there. An era of rest rooms and some of them were actually clean,
when you went there instead of McDonalds to download. And remember
the garage bays? You went there to get new plugs and points twice a
year and an oil change once a month. And you went there to get new
tires or to get a flat tire fixed? And they would even wash the car
for you in their spare time. Inside too. And we didn't even have
a fancy name for it like detailing. It was simply vacuuming the
seats and washing the windows to get the tobacco off them.

And it's interesting because it shows an idea that Pittsburgh
Railways had. If you can't beat em, join em. If people are going
to insist on driving cars, then put gas stations inside the trolley
loops.
