Since I made it an open letter in the first place, I see no reason to  
keep respond privately.   I don't particularly want to pay a fine in  
2007 for driving without the required window decal.   Of course, the  
people renting the car to me certainly don't care if I get a ticket  
in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Switzerland or Austria.    Unless I'm  
bright enough to ask,  they're not going to say anything.   All they  
want to do is collect their commission on the collision damage waiver  
and get on to the next customer.
