Mark has it about right...you turn right off Jefferson Avenue, go all the
way to the end of the trailer park, and down a dirt ramp. You will see the
shell of the building up ahead on the right. I suggest you not get close on
a windy day...the bricks are standing only on tradition!

Subject: [PRCo] Tylerdale Substation Remains
Just found something fantastic! I believe I have found the remains of
the Tylerdale Substation via Google Earth. If you have this I'll give
directions. Follow Jefferson west out of Washington. When the road
splits, follow the left fork which is still Jefferson. As soon as you
see the creek go under the road, follow it(the creek) north. When you
see the large rectangular building off to the right, stop there.
Directly to the northwest corner of the rectangular building is an
outline of another rectangular building in the middle of nowhere.
This, I believe is the remains of Tylerdale Substation. Ed had told
me that it is hard to find on foot and now I know why. I'd still like
to try and venture in there one day and snap some photos.
Please correct me if I'm wrong Ed but I believe this is correct.
Simply fascinating to me!
Mark
P.S.- My computer is outdated so I'm unable to get a clearer view.
