The infamous snowfall  of 1950 would be a good gauge of that.    I 
recall reading an old clipping of the Pittsburgh Press (which was framed 
in the Bellevue Eat 'n Park some years back) that the 88 Frankstown and 
one or two other routes were operating within the following day.
