Now to continue......as my hanging plants are still swaying back and forth. According to the Channel 8 News we had an earthquake.....in Cleveland, OH....go figure! Something else to worry about!
Anyway, when I worked for PATransit I did on two occasions operate what PAT called a "Snow Car." Both times it was early in the AM, and both times I did the same route on 36 and 42/38. Ice cutters were attached to the trolley pole and off I went. The route was out on the Overbrook (35/36/37) line to Washington Jct. Outbound on the 36 to Drake Loop and back inbound to SHJct. Then out on 42/38 to Clearview Loop. Then back to SHJct. Another car did another routing. The main purpose was the trolley wire. However, running an empty car helps keep the rail clean too.
