Tucson??!! Horrendously Hot in the Summer -- TOO Many
SnowBirds in Winter.
People I worked with in IL retired to Green Valley about 30-miles
south of Tucson. Was there once in January -- got in during
light rain -- next morning the high hills had a very light dusting of
snow. Desert appeared to be combed each evening and the famous
Saguaro (sp?!) cactus All Over makes a desert landscape that is
Incredibly Beautiful!!!!!!!
Gotta watch the Snakes! Whenever I would call down there Ray would
say that Shirley should be home soon because it is getting dark and that
is when the Snakes come out! They have an acre which backs up to
an Arroyo with orchards on the other side -- Ray has seen rattlers
sunning themselves while he was cutting the lawn and he didn't see them
until on top of them -- they regularly take shade in their carport
right under the door!
