Good Morning!


Not long back we had some discussions about the low numbered 700 series 
WP Interurbans.        The October 1971 PTM calendar shows a color photo 
of 704 by Charles E. England with the following caption:::::::

"""In its waning days, West Penn Railways 
Uniontown-Phillips-Leisenring-Connellsville route featured well-worn 
equipment such as car 704.       Built in 1912, this Cincinnati-made 
veteran closed that line some 39 years later.       West Penn equipment 
gave evidence of its operating environment, but bore the dirt from the 
mining industry well.       In back is the South Connellsville local 
car, which will leave when the Phillips car does."""
