Bob,

The schedule for the book was for this past Christmas. A series of very
unfortunate events have led to a delay in publishing the second book. Ron
does not have email, so he cannot respond personally. I believe all of the
material for the book is ready, but the cost to produce the book is a lot of
money. Any funding from outside sources has not been forthcoming, so Ron
has to bear the cost personally. When the money is finally arranged, then
the volume will be printed promptly.

To give you an example how financially burdensome a book can be, take the
book about the SP&S vol 2 which I sell for its content about the Oregon
Electric and other lines in the NW. The book is fantastic in every way. If
the remaining books will be sold, the author's family will only loose about
$40,000.

I am hoping that the financing will be arranged in a timely fashion.

Regards,

Ed
