Good Morning!

Included are 2 photos "Courtesy of the Miller Library, Pennsylvania
Trolley Museum" that show a couple of the PRCo low floor trailers of
which we have "spoken."

The first URL shows "Pure" trailer A200 which means it totally
lacks motors but Does Have Brakes! It is being pulled by High
Floor 4064 and is on a ladder track in the Homewood yards. The B &
C trailers had 2 motors per car to assist in MU operations but only some
of these cars had a controller modified only for shop movements.

The second URL shows Former Trailer A217 turned into Full Motor
car Pulling One Of Its Cousins at the terminal of the 71 and 73 lines
aside the Highland Park Car House (Bunker Hill!!!) In both cases
(A200 and A217) note the absence of an end door -- only center doors
on these vehicles! Fred notes that they eventually received an end
door when converted from trailer to independent power car. Both
these cars 'appear' to have folding center doors -- some of the cars
had sliding doors! Westinghouse developed a special motor that
would fit the small wheels on these cars (24 or 26 inches) and this
ushered in the era of the Then Low Floor TrolleyCars!
