I'm not sure that this belong here but we talk about so many esoteric
things here ...
We could make a hollow plexiglas body and fill it with colored water
and change it every so often?
Actually, you know the builders photographs of steam locomotives were
made with gray water color paints sprayed on over the shiny black
paint. The black reflected too little light and all the detail was
lost. So they were painted gray, and dutifully lettered and
numbered, then photographed, then washed down and shipped to their
new owner.
So you could paint your Speedrail car in Indianapolis and
Southeastern paint ... run it on a sunny day ... and then wash it off.
Shame Derrick's system won't allow me to include a big smily face.
Problem is too many railfan museums simply don't think outside the
box.... Some of these ideas are really off the wall but you never
know what will trigger the public into remembering something you
really want them to remember.
