20 minutes seems to be the daily headway inbound from Wilmerding 
weekdays.       Outbound PM rush seems to be 13 or 14 minutes but there 
were 4 trips:::::::

5.50
6.10
7.00
..
which only went to Swissvale Ave. and Coal Streets.       This is the 
schedule for 1960.07.10.

On the first 3 above a regular 87 line was sandwiched in between so cars 
from downtown were 10-min but didn't go all the way.

I would   <Guess>   that the 88 might run every 20-min as well since 
they shared much of the same trackage and the 87 and 88 would be evenly 
spaced.       This way there would be 10-min service on Penn and Liberty 
downtown to 32nd and from East Liberty to Tioga Loop.       But this 
also assumes that the running time for each line between E.Liberty and 
32nd is the same!!!!

Don't have the 88 schedule.
..
Even Saturday service on the 87 was 20-minutes all day.       There are 
4-short line cars to Coal in the PM and regular cars full length are 
40-min apart.

Sunday headways are 35-minutes during the day and 40-minutes in the evening!
