I HAVE AN ACTUAL PRINT IN MY HAND NOW ... it's a route 55 car and it
cannot possibly turn back here. What you cannot see in the picture
in the URL is that the track in the forground that shows in my print
does not show in the scanned print. The car has no option but to
make the complete S turn. If this is where you say it is, then it
has to go into Wilkinsburg through Forest Hills with a 55 destination
sign.

All the pictures were taken on the same date: July 23, 1950. The
one in question is negative PN 12609 sold by Railroad Avenue
Enterprises, P. O. Box 114, Flanders NJ 07836. It is one of a group
of negatives (12610, 12608, 12613) that we've identified as having
been taken in Rankin or Braddock at the time of the construction of
the new high level bridge and before the trolleys were ruled off the
old bridge. My suspicion is that it is underneath on of the ramps
to the new bridge and matches negative 12610 which looks the opposite
direction and shows the B&O tracks to the left side.

Unfortunately, the trip to Pittsburgh on the 10th has been ruled
out ... my wife had a conflict on that date.
