Second try for this one also.

While I'll never go that big, most East Penn guys have gotten new
eyeglass prescriptions and gone to O scale. They have two issues with
powering the St. Pete cars. One Jim hit upon - taking a knife to such
beautiful work is not easy. The second concern is one of operation.
The delicate plastic cars would probably not do well in a cornfield meet
- or any accident or mishandling for that matter. To operate properly
they would need a considerable amount of weight, increasing the
liability for damage.

If anyone out there has done it, or has plans, please send me what you
can so we can post it on the East Penn web site.

Thanks.

Bob

Hi Herb!
.
.
I have yet so to do but I see it as No More Difficult than any other
standard model. With SPTC many modelers don't like the idea of
cutting the floor on such an exquisite model!!
.
.
Have been *_trying_* to get a test layout constructed for DCC and
other purposes so I shall be mounting Q-Car trucks on some of my SPTC
models. But I am not making great progress. Have basic
benchwork in place (for 2-years now) but haven't proceeded any
further.

Jim
