What you missed, Bob, by going out to dinner instead of staying for
the party....

About 8 PM or so, just after dinner, I walked up to Tim with the
handle to PST 14 in my hand and remarked that I thought it might me
nice to try it out. Barb Kearns picked up the microphone and
announced that "Fast Freddy" is running 14 and anyone who wants to
ride should board. Well, I made the first three miles, then Jack
Samuels ran, then a new operator, then Laura Wells. What a great
evening. Jeff King and Bernie Orient were on the car with squeeze
boxes and someone I never met before had a guitar. When I was
running I heared Folsom Prison Blues behind me. The music
progressed through a lot of bluegrass, and when we came finally came
back from the third trip, I think you could have heard, a half mile
away through the open car windows, the rousing strains of Amazing Grace.

Only at PTM would we celebrate the weddings of the educator, the
transportation superintendent and the line superintendent with such a
party!

We did manage to rope Dave and Tom in for a little bit of it.
