James Toman's book on the SHRT (Interurbans Special #115) discusses this
bridge on page 45. You can see part of it in photos on pages 50 and 132.
It replaced a highway bridge around the time the Kingsbury Shops were built.
It's a foot bridge. It's a neat looking structure. Just north of Long beach,
there is a similar bridge across the Los Angeles River that carries a
pipeline. In fact, a temporary suspension bridge like the Sidaway bridge was
erected in Black Canyon to facilitate worker traffic across the Colorado
River during the early work on Hoover Dam.
