I listened to Rege in the car on the way to work in the morning. Many times
I found myself laughing out loud, then looked around to see if any motorists
were puzzled by my behavior.

I originally listened to him when he had a show on WWSW, before he switched
to KDKA in the early 1950's.
In the mid-1950's he also had an evening program on KDKA called "On the
Town" - it was 30 minutes every day, and involved Rege calling companies,
putting them on with crazy questions. I remember a call he made to PRC
asking about chartering a trolley, but with the seats removed because his
group wanted to dance during the ride. Also calls to the B&O RR asking if
they could rent him railroad equipment for home projects.

I was at his going-away dinner when he left Pittsburgh for California in
1965.
