It is a neat site, Fred.=20
I did not find the flying/fraction , but, remember him referring to it =
more than once. Wasn't Rege one of the guys responsible for what we now =
call PTM ? I knew Lou Redman very well, too. TCA,etc.

Cordic, Sterling Yates, Bob Trow, Charlie Sords are all gone now. I =
never heard anything of Karl Hardman. Charlie was a good friend, his day =
job was a State Store on the North side. Charlie was "Screaming Mad =
MacEldowney", but, more of a writer. He hung around TV Master Control a =
lot where I frequently worked. We moved WDTV to Gateway Center in 1954, =
it became KDKA-TV in 1955, and radio moved from the Grant Bldg to =
Gateway a couple of years later. I worked all over the place for 36 =
years, so to remember what happened when would be tough .

I am glad so many people enjoyed the Cordic site. Outstanding quality, I =
thought.

  Subject: Cordic's Flying Fraction

  Hello Robert,=20

Thanks for posting the Cordic site.

My favorite memory was the bit on the Flyin' Fraction. His take on=20
preparing motormen for the 77/54 route as a variation on fighter=20
pilot preps. I scanned the list on Dr Technical and couldn't find=20
it. Do you know of a recording?

My memory of it as a kid ended with the trolley leaving the barn to=20
wheel squeal and the Air Force hymn (Off we go...into the wild blue=20
yonder.....) I got a tape from Ed Lybarger several years ago, but=20
it didn't seem like the entire bit, and didn't end with the music.

  Any ideas???

  The Grateful Fred

PS I'm also checking with the Drtechnical site.
