Going off on a little tangent here...

I remember a Chicago D.J. named Fred Winston who would occasionally "diss" Pittsburgh because he was fired by a Pittsburgh station. 

During the 1973-74 time frame, he made a remark, something to the effect that "Pittsburgh was so backwards, they still had streetcars." A Pittsburgh listener called in and said, "At least we're got our money's worth from our trolleys. Chicago had to send theirs back to the builder and spent a fortune turning them into El cars when they were still almost news."

Mr. Winston had some smart aleck reply to that listener, but I can't recall what it was.
