During WWII there were some pretty ugly work pieces on the outside track beside the Charleroi Barn. Definitely a very dark maroon. We were riding mostly 3800s.

Subject: [PRCo] 3600 Paint Book
The only color notations in the paint book for 3600s apply to 3601,
3602 and 3609 in 1926 and 1927 and show "Simplex Red" paint. Note
that most of the 3600s were scrapped in 1924. Some were retained as
maintenance equipment, at least temporarily. These colors may have
been for maintenance duty. Note that the 3700s and 3750s were both
on the property at this time and may have been sufficient for
passenger service even though the 3800s were not yet delivered.
