I'm going to pose an open question, Ed, and you can tell me as a
friend of 34 years to stick a trolley pole where the sun doesn't
shine or that the idea might just work ....
What are the chances of getting your cousin's husband and his Brill
C-31 bus as a way of driving us around if we are a larger group?
Ralph is a railfan and railfan is a bus fan and it would be a way to
get everyone in one vehicle. I understand we should all agree to
pay him a prorata share of fuel, insurance, tires and maintenance
costs. If it costs Ralph a $3.00 a mile to run it, then we each
ante up 10 cents a mile .... whatever. I am assuming his gasoline
alone is going to be in the vicinity of 50 to 60 cents a mile for
that kind of a safari. Maybe we even add in something toward
buying his next bus....
And where is Derrick going to be on the day his list convenes in his
home town?
