During my time at PATransit and before the paving of The Tunnel, buses would layover on the South side of the Administration Building. There was room for two, maybe three buses there. The tracks leading into The Tunnel, from Warrington Ave (inbound) were open with paving only at the switches. The tracks in front of the Admin Bldg and some of the outbound track going toward Warrington Ave were paved. Some buses were feeder buses and at least one (46K) was through from downtown. It was common for Route Foremen to park their supervisor trucks on the North side of the Admin Bldg on the paved portion of the outbound track when no cars were scheduled to turn into the yard.

started running busses through the tunnel. Didn't those buses that
terminated next to the Admin building constitute feeders?

My, how quickly they forget !!!!! PRCo used the feeder bus to rail service
for decades. Also, I believe the Jefferson and Inglewood bus routes were in
place at one time and fed into the 35/36/37 trunk at or near Castle Shannon
Municipal Bldg (nee Car House).

I guess they got the message. We'll see how it works out.
