 At http://www.wideopenwest.com/~handrews1534/[1] Howard Andrews writes the
following::
Having grown up in Pittsburgh PA my modeling is heavily influenced by the
Pittsburgh Railways Company's (PRC) operations. At it's height PRC had over
600 miles of track including interurban service to Washington PA and
Charleroi PA. The interurban lines do have a fascination for me, and one of
my other modeling projects is the production of PRC's 3800 - one of the last
large interurbans produced. For more information on this project and
availability of resin cast shells follow this link PRC 3800 Interurban[2]

After a few false starts at planning a layout I finally came down to
reality... As part of DUR's module efforts I designed two rather simple
modules - one a loop based loosely on the Brentwood loop and a second
looselybased upon the Carrick Car Barn and Castle Shannon Car storage area.
(Yea, I grew up in the South Hill area). Here's the trackplan for what I'm
building:

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~

This begs for a bit of an autobiography -- Please fill us in on the
details -- what part of the South Hills? When did you live in Pgh?
What caused you to leave? I note that you produced 15 models of the
3800,same as the prototype!!!
