Every spring winter one of the trolley museums in the ARM
northeastern region holds a get together for the other museums.
This past weekend it was the Scranton group's turn. And here are
Bruce Well's pictures of the event. He did not have a comment page.
I can add one comment ... Scranton was inaccessible for most of us
because PennDOT Region 7-0 made a disaster out of the Valentine's Day
snow and Interstates 78, 80 and 81 did not reopen for three days.
Needless to say, I did not go. Just getting home on Friday from my
brother-in-law's funeral in Summit NJ, which should have taken 2 1/2
to 3 hours normally, became a 6 1/2 hour ordeal thanks to PennDOT.
And I was lucky because I know the unmarked back roads! You could
have walked faster along US 222 between Allentown and Reading on
Friday afternoon than a car could move! I was stupid ... I should
have gone the long way around through Philadelphia and it might have
only taken 4 hours.
