John:
The Pittsburgh Railways web site has gone national in the last
month. One person protested but that didn't really have much
affect. It all started when Herb Brannon posted something about
Cleveland claiming that was not far from Pittsburgh. Then Jim
Holland posted PCCs from all over the U. S. and it just went wild
from there. And I guess I did my share over the last few years to
push the envelope beyond Pittsburgh. Thought you might like what
Bill Robb posted today. Actually, once in a great while we do
mention Pittsburgh. It has just become a group of friends talking
to each other.
Looking at the night service map made me realize just how
comprehensive the night routes were ... just about everything had
night service except for Rogers Road.
When were the last Witts used? Did a few of them run Kingston Road
trippers until the 1966 mass conversions or were they retired earlier?
