I really have no idea.  I don't have any personal experience here, except
on that one of the few times I've biked in Center City traffic while sleep-
deprived, I wiped out on (disused) trolley tracks, while I biked through
Schenley Park, totally exhausted, dozens of times without incident.  Some
situations just have more room for error.

Oh, I agree, though the daytime schedule worked OK for me since I could get
work done on my laptop (I get more done when I *don't* have Internet access).

The sad thing is that an overnight train would work out almost perfectly
between Pittsburgh and PHL/NYP, even with the poor infrastructure.
